A Greener Future for all

People with fewer opportunities means people who, for economic, social, cultural, geographical or health reasons, a migrant background, or for reasons such as disability and educational difficulties or for any other reasons, including those that can give rise to discrimination under article 21 of the Charter of Fundamental rights of the European Union, face obstacles that prevent them from having effective access to opportunities under the programme.

Social inclusion has been a priority of the European Union’s youth policy for decades. However, young people from underprivileged backgrounds are underrepresented in Erasmus+ youth initiatives and European Solidarity Corps, although the latter programme sets further involvement of young people with fewer opportunities as one of its major objectives. The responsibility to enact social inclusion objectives set by policymakers tends to fall on youth workers, who coordinate international educational and volunteering projects funded by the European Union and support young people through mobilities.

WF will promote social inclusion and equal opportunities, in particular for the participation of young people with fewer opportunities through a range of special measures such as appropriate formats of solidarity activities and personalised support during our projects.

WF is committed to ensuring it’s commitment in which everyone can work towards a greener future and to fostering a climate in which all participants can have an exceptional experience.
