"I had the best time with WF in Iceland. Getting to know the country and the land in such a real, personal way was a wonderful experience and I have a lot of love for it. The people I met were fun and wildly interesting and I had many experiences I'll never forget. The days were chaotic but were never boring, and every single week brought new stories. It was a whirlwind of energy and after a while it felt like home. It gave me a strong love of the Arctic, and I look forward to returning to Iceland one day!"

"My time in Iceland with Worldwide Friends has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life. I immediately fell in love with Iceland, its waterfalls, volcanoes, glaciers and vast landscapes. But what made my time in this country so unforgettable for me were the work and the people I met through WF.
As Educational Officer, I was responsible for the workcamp's educational activities, leading workshops on sustainability topics for diverse groups. The real revelation of this teaching role for me was that you learn just as much as you give. The exchanges with volunteers and camp participants were some of the richest conversations I've had. This is what WF does so beautifully: it brings together engaged, curious individuals and gives them a platform and safe space to share their different perspectives. I am deeply grateful for this experience, and for the lifelong friends it gave me."

"I had a beautiful time in Sólheimar, the eco-village, in autumn 2024, working in the Sunna greenhouse and helping in the workshops alongside the incredible people I met there. In such a short period, we became really close, spending nights watching movies and doing karaoke, sharing traditional and delicious dishes from our countries, playing Lotería and Truth or Dare, and dancing. The HP volunteers’ house was always full of joy. A month there felt longer because of all the experiences we shared together. Having the opportunity to go on road trips on weekends to see some of the most iconic places on earth with my friends was unforgettable. Unfortunately, everything has an end. Now I’m looking forward to seeing them again in Mexico or anywhere else life chooses for our paths to cross. I can’t imagine what my experience would have been like without them!"
