What you will visit:
1 . Hraunfossar waterfall
Firstly you will see the great Hraunfossar, a stunning series of waterfalls formed by several rivers running a distance of about 900m across the Hallmundarhraun lava field, created a thousand years ago by a volcano erupting under the nearby Langjokull glacier.
2. Deildartunguhver
Known as the most powerful hot spring in Europe. It produces more than 180 liters of boiling hot water per second! You can feel the fierce power of Mother Nature as you walk safely on boardwalks through billowing clouds of steam around the bubbling hot springs, or just see them from the viewing platform.
3. The canyon baths
The highlight of your tour comes next – an authentic Icelandic hotpot experience in the splendid setting of Hringsgil Canyon, magically combining a serene soak in a hot spring with the enchanting landscapes all around you.
Imagine relaxing in these healing hot
springs while taking in the spectacular views of the steeply surrounding canyon, marvelous mountains, and glistening glaciers!
These are traditional and authentic Icelandic bathing pools, inspired by the age-old ways used by the locals in this area for a thousand years. Sustainably built in the traditional stone-bath style in an off-grid location, it’s a unique combination.

For this excursion, we ask an extra fee of 120 euro. This is to pay for the fuel, driver, parking, etc.
Nice to know:
Iceland is a place where the weather can change every 5 minutes.
- Hiking boots are recommended because the weather can change very fast it’s possible it’s muddy in some places.
- Bring a raincoat it can be windy and cold at the waterfall.
- In case of heavy rain or strong wind, the places of interest can be reduced. (The decision is up to the driver’s responsibility.)
- Don’t forget your swimsuit!
