Founded in 2001, Veraldarvinir / Worldwide Friends (WF) is a non-profit organization promoting nature protection, peace-oriented activities, friendship, and international understanding. WF Iceland offers short and long-term volunteering programs, summer camps for teenagers, exchange programs, and educational tours.
About Iceland
Iceland is a country of extreme geological contrasts. With one of the most geologically and volcanically active landscapes in the world, while being home to the largest glaciers in Europe. Iceland is also the land of light and darkness. Long summer days with near 24-hours of sunshine are offset by short winter days with only a few hours of daylight.

Project Locations
Worldwide friends have many houses all across Iceland to invite volunteers and other participants who wish to work on environmental sustainability projects. Our goal is to educate our young generation and motivate them to take action against climatic problems. We organize different workshops on climate change and plastic pollution. We also initiate different sustainable activities such as Beach clean-ups, Horticulture, Agriculture, Renovation, and Recycling. Hover over the map below to know more about our houses.
